An Ancient Volcano- The Pinnacles
We had so much fun going to the Pinnacles and hiking. The caves were so fun to go through and the Trianchela's were a added bonus. I was so impressed with the kids they did the two mile hike no problem and had so much fun. The caves scared them a bit, but they did great. If you decide to take an adventure there don't forget your flashlight!
Some information on the Pinnacles:
Rising out of the chaparral-covered Gabilan Mountains, east of central California's Salinas Valley, are the spectacular remains of an ancient volcano. Massive monoliths, spires, sheer-walled canyons and talus passages define millions of years of erosion, faulting and tectonic plate movement.
The Bear Gulch Cave provides a home to a colony of Townsend's big-eared bats as they hibernate in winter and raise their young in summer. (Don't forget the Trianchela's that are in there too.)

Fun at the Pumpkin Patch with Nathan's Classmates!
Today we went to the local Pumpkin Patch after school with some of Nate's classmates and school friends. The kids had so much fun running around. To bad we didn't buy a pumpkin. Talk about expensive. We did buy Strawberries and Peppers. We will be heading to Safeway for our pumpkins! Thanks to Rachel for planning it! It was a blast!!!!
