Nathan Lost His First Tooth
Nathan has been wanting to lose a tooth since he was in Kindergarten. All his friends keep losing teeth and he wasn't. Finally in 1st grade it happened and he was so excited. He even let me pull it out with tweezers. He was so excited he had to call both sets of grandparents to let them know. In fact if it did not happen right before bedtime he would of called all of you too!
It is cool in one of the pictures you can see the new tooth coming in behind the tooth he lost. 9/24/2008

An Ancient Volcano- The Pinnacles
We had so much fun going to the Pinnacles and hiking. The caves were so fun to go through and the Trianchela's were a added bonus. I was so impressed with the kids they did the two mile hike no problem and had so much fun. The caves scared them a bit, but they did great. If you decide to take an adventure there don't forget your flashlight!
Some information on the Pinnacles:
Rising out of the chaparral-covered Gabilan Mountains, east of central California's Salinas Valley, are the spectacular remains of an ancient volcano. Massive monoliths, spires, sheer-walled canyons and talus passages define millions of years of erosion, faulting and tectonic plate movement.
The Bear Gulch Cave provides a home to a colony of Townsend's big-eared bats as they hibernate in winter and raise their young in summer. (Don't forget the Trianchela's that are in there too.)

Fun at the Pumpkin Patch with Nathan's Classmates!
Today we went to the local Pumpkin Patch after school with some of Nate's classmates and school friends. The kids had so much fun running around. To bad we didn't buy a pumpkin. Talk about expensive. We did buy Strawberries and Peppers. We will be heading to Safeway for our pumpkins! Thanks to Rachel for planning it! It was a blast!!!!

Hilton Head, South Carolina July 2008
We had the wonderful opportunity to go visit my family from North Carolina this Summer. We had the MOST amazing time in Hilton Head. We stayed in a beautiful beach house and played all week with our family. It was paradise for the kids and Walt and I... surfing, boogie boarding, swimming, kite flying, riding our bikes on the beach, it was non-stop fun! We did not want to leave. When we came home and went to Santa Cruz it sure was hard to get in the cold water.
Thanks to my family in NC for such a "TOTALLY AWESOME" vacation, "HANG LOOSE"!!!!!
